Gustave has been keeping WebSight's technical infrastructure running for 15+ years, which is the IT equivalent of keeping a Victorian-era ship watertight while continuously retrofitting it with modern engines. He handles technical support, troubleshooting, and QA — the trifecta of disciplines that require infinite patience, encyclopedic knowledge, and the ability to explain the same thing in seventeen different ways until it lands.
His approach to QA is thorough to a degree that the rest of the team finds both deeply reassuring and mildly terrifying. Nothing ships until Gus has attempted to break it.
